Back in March, I found out that I received a Fulbright Senior Scholar award. This will fund research and teaching at the University of Haifa (Israel). The research will be a collaboration with ecologist extraordinaire and Jedi Master, Leon Blaustein, on the community ecology of Mediterranean temporary ponds. My family and I will be moving there in September and staying through April. Over the course of the next 9 months, I will maintain this Blog (which I have never done before). I hope to convey not only the science, but the familial and cultural experiences. We are overwhelmingly excited (and nervous) about the road ahead!
This blog will follow my experiences as a Fulbright Scholar in Israel (University of Haifa) during the 2017-18 academic year. Also check out the family blog for another perspective. This blog is not an official U.S. Department of State website, and the views and information presented are my own and do not represent the Fulbright Program or the Department of State.
